KPL Cricket — Sireesh Auto Gets Mysore Team for Rs 3.25 crore

The auction for the Karnataka Premier League cricket tournament saw eight teams of the state fetching prices in crores, with the Mysore team going to Sireesh Auto owned by Kupendra Reddy.
The auction held on Wednesday August 5 was at KSCA Hall where bidders for the teams gathered.
Cine star Ambareesh, who bid along with NICE group, was unsuccessful — they had bid Rs 2.55 crore for Mysore, which was eventually taken by Sireesh Auto for Rs 3.25 crore.
Brigade Enterprises, part of the Brigade Group, a leading construction company, walked away with the most sought-after Bangalore Urban franchise, their bid of Rs 7.2 crore (for a five-year period) leaving the field behind. Melmont Constructions Pvt Ltd, part of the Puravankara Group, netted the Bangalore Rural team with a winning bid of Rs 5.55 crore.
The Mangalore team sold for Rs 4.23 crore while the Bangalore city team went to Brigade Company for Rs 7.2 crore.

The Shimoga team went to Jayaprakash Hedge for Rs 1.75 crore.
