ART FROM WASTE - Many coconut trees are cut and thrown on roadsides. Nobody wants to use them. You can use them. See the picture. A little effort and you can convert them into natural pots, plant ornamental saplings and feel happy watching them grow. It is easy. Cut coconut tree stems into two feet height, remove the pith and create space for filling red soil mixed with desi manure, at the bottom make a few deep holes, put some sand then fill soil and manure 1 inch less from top. Put half a mug of water once in two days. Plants grow roots, take nutrients from the fibrous pith and grow nicely. Such pots do not need extensive care. Once a month, remove two inches of top soil, put some manure mixed red soil. Such pots may be kept along the drive way or in porticos/balconies for a natural rugged look. Keep a plastic plate underneath the coconut pots to avoid marks on your costly floor. If help needed, call: 9845950440

Neglected heritage Batheri - The Batheri Gopuras on either side are beautiful land marks and the fort walls are about to crumble. Batheri gopura or tower is being used as advertisement hoarding. My request to DC and other officers who are implementing JNNURM projects take up this Batheri also as a heritage site and improve it.
