No of Coronavirus cases declining in Mysore
The number of infected coronavirus cases in the Mysore district has fallen by 3 per cent, said District Collector Abhiram G. Shankar.
Speaking to reporters in the city today, he said that the recovery rate in India is 23.3% and Mysore have only 3% corona cases.
“We had 89 cases in 3,800 samples. But we had 73 cases out of 1,700 cases related to Jubilant Generics factory samples. It had a rate of 5%. 2 cases have come tested positive for Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI). We have done more than 60 ILI tests and have tested pregnant women as well. None of them has tested positive for coronavirus,” he said.
The situation of the district can be called stable but not safe, he said.
According to the guidelines of the central government, if there is no case in two weeks, the district will become an orange zone. If it continues for the next 2 weeks, the district can be announced as green zone. “If we have to announce Mysuru as a green zone, there should not be any case in the next 28 days,” he added.
